Here’s and awesome die break on a 2020 shield cent. This is an asymmetrical split die. The second and third photos I’ve seen quite a few of this error on Facebook, coin forums, and eBay. the first coin is a very early die state of this error. I’ve never seen this die break before ever. So we know where the die break started and then made its way down the coin to create the asymmetrical split die. Enjoy.
I’ve got a 2020 shield cent roll that was got at a store in February 2020 and the roll ender of the roll is the split die. There’s one other roll I know of still out there in existence.
I saw the title, I thought, not another post about an insignificant die chip. Boy was I wrong! That's a BIG crack!
