thanks... do you have more info or a good link i can read up on Die Deterioration Doubling ...

 

The newer zinc pennies can often give the illusion of doubling at certain angles,I agree with paddy on this one. Keep looking

 

YouTube is a great resource

 

Especially with USB camera that use software to compensate for actual image and the pixels the computer generates are an estimate. Excessive light reflections produces the dd type of image. Try taking a photo through a magnifier . Jim

Imho, are you sure? because I’m not convinced It’s not about the lighting.

Can you please post a picture of the entire coin.
It looks more like a design berm.
A design berm encircles a design element. Giving the illusion of doubling.
