2019 Lowell Quarter

I received a 2019 Lowell Quarter with an error strike on the head side. I was wondering if anyone has seen one like it before?

maybe rolling machine damage??

 

It looks like PMD. Post mint damage. It’s probably an end coin from a roll damaged by the roll crimper.

 

Thanks for the fast responses. The circle is the exact same size as the tails side like it was struck harder, but I can’t tell that for sure. Wouldn’t a roll crimper just scratch it ? The circle on the heads side show in the picture is raised it isn’t a scratch

It's definitely damaged by a coin rolling machine. The end coins in paper rolls are the victims.

 

And it's a shame. It looked like a really nice coin. I can't make it out. Is it a W?

 

If it is raised, it could be a clash. But you have to have way way better photos than those to tell.

 

No, I was looking for W’s when I came across it

 

My LCS sells the W's for $10-$15 each.

 

dumb question.....what is a Lowell quarter?

 

The obverse looks like a standard Quarter. There are 2 million of these with the W for West Point.
