In view of the recent 15,000 struck Pd 1oz coins that sold out in approx 270 seconds, does anyone have any idea how long it took the mint to strike all of these coins? Hours, days?

I have no clue. Maybe some of our more experienced members can tell us.

There are members with more knowledge of proof coins than me but just a guess, I would think that working straight thru normal work hours they could mint and pack all those coins in 3 weeks or so no problem

Assuming about 3 seconds to strike each coin, and using five presses to save time changing dies, about 2.5 hours. If you just use one press 12.5 hours and probably double that the account for die changing time and general care in handling. Call it a maximum of 2 days and probably considerably less.

Here is a youtube video of them striking proof silver eagles, rate seems to be about 3 seconds per coin. Also shows the operator cleaning the faces of the proof dies as well.
