These come in packs like baseball cards. I personally am not a fan of baseball nor do I collect baseball cards. But these are a little different and imo worth picking up a few.

Basically they are 1 oz copper art rounds (which I do collect) in a baseball card. There are 30 different players in the series. The packs start at around $5. I suggest you shop around for best prices. The "Key" player (The one that sell for the most) is Aaron Judge followed by Mike Trout and Bryce Harper.

Now here is the really cool part. In some packs there are 1 oz silver rounds and even vouchers for a 1 oz gold round. I would assume a "voucher" is in the form of a token so you can't feel it through the pack.

Anyways I bought 3 packs just to check them out. Paid $5 a piece.

This is one I pulled out of the three.

That's sounds like it could be fun, a good gimmick to sell copper at a good price . It also gives collectors in the baseball card group to start collecting coins or rounds. It may even turn some on to collecting coins. If they are in Canada I will see if I can find some and where they might be sold . A local card and comic store maybe. You got a good pick. Can the dealers feel who is in the package? Just wondered if they are easy for the scammers to cull the good ones from the rest. They look as if they may have some brass mixed in with the copper.

I agree. But there are people that collect baseball memorabilia that will pay for these. I think Mike Trout is trending between $20-$25 right now.

I have made money for years buying sealed boxes of Magic The Gathering cards and selling off the individual cards. Kinda figured I might try it with these too.

Yes you can feel the coin through the pack. If you feel enough of them I would assume you could pick a few out. Aaron Judge might be an easy one as he looks to be the only one wearing glasses on his.

Looks similar to an idea done by Upper Deck with the NHL.
These came in several versions with multiple players:

Edit: they don't come graded...this is one I bought slabbed by PSA (they usually certify cards and are a part of Collectors Universe...PCGS falls under them as well).

Anyone know if they sell plastic holders for cards this thick? The card itself is as thick as the coin.

Wow thanks @ddddd. I was gonna look at Walmart tomorrow when I go to Spokane. Now that I know they have PVC in them I think I will find a sports card shop instead.

If I don't find em I will order from then net...which you just made A LOT easier.

I would check a few more places (online) as I didn't look for the best prices (those were just a few random ones that I found). If you are going to Walmart anyways, it might be worth a look to see if they have any of the non-PVC type too.

They need better engravers. (Probably computer engraved from a photograph)

After a trip to Spokane and several emails to the store I bought these from, I found out that they do not yet make cases that will fit these cards properly. Yes the cards are 240pt but the coin is slightly fatter. Just enough not to fit in a 240pt holder. The next size up is way too big.

There are plans to come out with cases for these but it may be a while.

I found them easy by putting in copper BASEBALL COINS. It was easy to find but they are cheapest on eBay . You can buy boxes of 36 I think by Treasure Collectables. dillan
