I just received two rolls of the 2017 P & D Kennedy Half Dollars from the U.S. Mint. When I opened the first roll, the second coin showed a die crack the ran from the E in LIBERTY down to you the mid head off the profile with a die chip near the E. I found four more coins just like in the roll. Has anyone else found anything like this?
Die cracks are very common on most denominations. Unless it is a major break or you can establish a nice progression, it's not worth much more than face value except to a bidiot. Chris
Just so you know, Fred Weinberg who posted above me here is "THE MAC DADDY" of error coins. They don't come any more august than he is. Once, in Portland, I was able to snap a pic of Fred just an instant before lightning began shooting from his fingertips. It was all benign, no Sith stuff.
