Die Chip on the nose.. Not a CUD. A CUD involves the rim.

Yes.. Die Crack and Die Chip. Good find. Nothing really major though. Common occurrence with worn Die Strikes

I have a question and I don't want to feel stupid.

I've been doing this for 3 weeks and I've read alot and watched alot of threads.
I'm finding alot of these errors and they all seem common.what is the best thing to look for.I want the Wow that gets my heart pumping.

What do you personally look for as a collector. And as an investor I'm looking for the one.I've found some gems and big die breaks.today I found the 1908 vdb,but it seems like everything I find is worthless.I love this and I'm learning from you guys,I just don't want to waste your time.

I know like big chipped planchet and mules and the like, but other then that what should i be searching for.
I've read lots of links that others have posted and taken advice, but I feel like everything I find isn't worth keeping.
I love the look and feel of the coin in hand and that gives me satisfaction.but I also want them to be worth something,im doing this for My 1 year old.

    First Hi Richard..
First of all don't ever feel or think you are stupid! A person who has been trying to figure out errors or varieties for 3 years and still does not get it is stupid.

My friend it takes time.. You can search thousands of couns and never find anything. Most issues are just damage and we see a lot of this on CoinTalk.

I have been collecting for 31 years and I still learn about new Mint Errors.
