2017 P Nickel Extra Metal?

    Do you have regular photos of the whole coin?
    Can you see this extra metal without a microscope?

    Yeah, the roof is the one that caught my eye and why I kept it. Its circulated for sure. Give me a minute and I'll have pics through my jewelers glass.

    Oll korrect (OK), sorry for the wait. The one below the y on liberty has to catch the light, so I won't bother with that one. Here they are and hope they are clear enough.

    That white in the middle of the roof is nothing but warps catching light. I zoomed as close as possible and it looks clean around them, no trails or scratch marks.

    Looking at the one on the roof reminds me of a tricorn hat.

    They look like very small die chips. So small, they're probably worthless, but keep them for your Oddities Box. After all, as die chips, they are actual mint errors.

    What you have to understand is that's not "extra metal". It's caused by chips in the die.
