2017 P new jersey quarter double die reverse

    Man on reverse has doubling on throat, lips, nose, eye and mouth. Die chip over right eye and under bibb of hat. Strong strikes in windows and doorway.

    Most likely Die Deterioration and/or Mechanical Doubling. Anything that needs that much magnification is not worth it.

    And.. The correct numismatic terminology is actually Doubled Die.. Not double die

    What do you mean that much magnification? Every example I've seen is closely magnified. Thanks for your input.

    Die deterioration doubling is normally accompanied by orange peel texture and lines. Maybe late die state. Appear to be clean clear strikes.

    Super-duper close-ups are worthless when it comes to finding and/or displaying images of doubled dies.

    Here is another 2017 P with doubling. On reverse, the first window at top of bldg and top of brick first window at bottom of bldg.
