2017 P LMC Die Cracks

    I found 16 LMC 2017 P with die cracks along the top of the shield. I have photos of 4 of them here.

    You usually see die chips along that ridge. Very common on these cheap things.

    Thanks. I haven't looked at enough of them to notice any trends. I bought these to include in the great grandkids type sets. The rest have been ignored. I really do not like them at all.

    If you get the chance to do solid date boxes you will find this to be so common. From their inception in 2010 there has always been a problem with the top left of the shield. Would be interesting to find out from the mint why this is. I just got a 2019 P solid date box and it is loaded with these, plus cracks at "One Cent" and the top of Lincolns head. It's become more common to find these than those without problems.
