I was lucky enough to find 17 back to back in one roll. I haven't seen any other like it anywhere... Have you?
You can see the columns of the shield very well behind his head and a couple letters in front of face
Yeah I've seen them on several sites and from a few people here who have found them. I've only managed to find LMC clashes myself. Here is a link to some: http://www.maddieclashes.com/typical-die-clash-u-s-small-cent/
Very cool, but do understand that you finding multiples in a roll is strongly suggestive of the fact that there's many more out there. Had you been able to obtain the box, many more would have almost certainly been found, and the same holds true for many other boxes as well.
Yeah..I didn't get there whole box but I got$15 of the $25 box. It's hard to find a bank here that will sell a whole box. I mainly search for old wheats to fill books for my kids to save
That's cool, Don, and welcome to the forum. I just wanted to be sure you understood how this type of thing usually works.
Wow.... cool coins, but folks seem to be paying a tad much for them imo. As they say: a fool and his money.
Yeah you're right they just need to pay a little much for one cent penny. I prefer hunting in the coin rolls rather than purchase... It's the thrill of what you may and can find. And plus it's a little something to find, save, and give to my kids for their future.
Thanks Rick. I understand the hunting... Not the posting and discussing as much yet... Plus I may be a bit slow at times..I have a newborn baby girl to take care of so she takes most my time. I appreciate all the good comments from everyone... Let's meet know if finding the good type errors like I hoped I was.
Be careful assuming future value when it comes to such coins, and simply because we don't know what will happen down the road. That said, and since you've mentioned your little ones, the greatest contribution coins can make to a child's future is in the experience. If you can get your kids to share your interest, the time spent together should someday be worth infinitely more to them than whatever monetary value the coins themselves may have.
