Hello there everyone. So I came across this 2017 penny and I'm wondering if this could be a possible double die or just machine. Also my B in LIBERTY looks more like an 8 kind of cool. 20180726_143137.jpg 20180726_143207.jpg 1532619076400.jpg 20180726_143335.jpg 20180726_143404.jpg 20180726_143435.jpg

See the ring going around the coin next to the rim? That is an immediate marker for die deterioration.

I'm sorry I'm new at this and I've learn quite a lot here and I may sound dumb but what does die deterioration mean.

Die deterioration starts as soon as each coin is struck, the severity gets amplified after thousands of strikes..
Die deterioration is a worn out die. It causes a type of doubling
DDD that a new collector sometimes confuses with a true Doubled die.
Here is a reference that if you have any questions, you can look it up.

Oh I just looked it up and I think I understand it now. I guess I learned something new today. Thank you very much. I still think that 8 looks kind of cool so I'm keeping this coin for show and tell.
