Like the title says this coin took a hit.
It was a little exciting until I looked at the obverse closer.

The carry through from the impact distorted Liberty as well as the date.

Alas, this would have been my first struck-though to find in circulation. Ah well, back to the hunt.

Show us a straight on, centered, focused view of the obverse.

I regret this is the only picture I have remaining. I left the coin in my office at work.

I do have the reverse with the desired requirements however.

Here's an overlay of the two images.

Here is a, somewhat better image of the coins obverse/reverse.

Excuse my artistic flare (or lack of as the case may be). I recently added several new image editing tools I am trying to familiarize myself with.

So, are you thinking this is a strike through, or do you think it is post mint damage?

I'm confused by your original post.

OP is aware it is PMD.

It is most defiantly PMD. The distortion of the obverse proves that.
As we all know the obverse die would have prevented before mentioned distortion had been it a mint strike-through.

I was curious as to the interest.
I suppose I should simply report without attempting the modern colloquial speak.
