This 2017 Cook Islands $10 silver coin is based on the first issue of the Admiral Yi Sun-Shin comic book series, of which there are supposed to be a total of 12 issues (currently, the 10th issue is out). For each unique issue, the announced plan was to have each be accompanied by a unique minted coin. However, I only see the one from 2017. Did they cancel the plan and we're left with only the first year? I wanted to see all of the designs and was hoping that one would be a turtle ship design. I'm not seeing any info either, so it does seem the series never got going after the first coin. I've seen this happen with some others, most notably the lunar skulls-a group jumped in (when a bunch of world mints were creating their own lunar coins) but had multiple delays and issues producing the coins. They did manage to release three but stopped after that.
