2016P mint dime looks odd to me

Ok so I, along with my husband have been collecting coins for several years. As a cashier I started out buying wheat pennies from my cash drawer as a contribution to my husband's hobby. Anyhow I still have no idea what I'm looking for as far as valuable coins because mostly I look for older coins or coins that look odd or off for whatever reason. By far my coolest find and oldest coin to date is a 1907 indian head penny. So last week I buy my usual coins that peaked my curiosity and I came across this 2016 Philadelphia mint dime. It caught my eye because it looked like an older coin because of the color. I was caught off guard by the date. I tried go take some good clear pictures but as amateur collectors we do not have the 'professional' equipment to get a clear vividly detailed picture. Any thoughts or opinions on this or does it look odd to anyone else? Just wondering if its its all in my mind 20200907_141256.jpg 20200907_141715.jpg

Welcome to CT @Candi Everett. I hope your husband joins too and can share finds you both make.
Your dime appears to be a normal, circulated coin with many hits and lots of abuse, but I can see why you believe it is "different." But, unfortunately it is just a well circulated coin. Keep up the hunt and share your "finds" with us.
Good full image photos but if you can crop them to show just the coin, it might help us with viewing them.

I know I'm a new member to this forum, but I've been collecting for years. This to me looks like a piece of pocket change. Nothing special. I think the "color" you think looks old is simply the copper oxidizing faster than usual. Maybe the coin was left outside.

First, welcome to the neighborhood @Candi Everett !

Coins can take on all sorts of colors (toning) while in circulation, and this dime is nothing special. The likelihood of you finding a valuable coin in circulation is pretty rare, but finds like the 1907 IHC do come along once in a while. Keep looking!

Like this? Doing this all with an LG Stylo 4 smart phone and messing around with this picture taking stuff is a new one for me ‍♀️ 20200908_105652.jpg
