2016 Penny..with A Small Shape Next To Cent...what Could It Be?

    I found this 2016 Penny with a small Shape next to the word CENT...anyone has an idea about this?

    the thing with this particular "Die Chip" is the surface...is a flat surface, not like the others Die Chips...and the edges are basically fine.

    Die chip maybe damaged die from hard debris

    It sure seems like a 'hit' on the "T" of cent. In photo #2, you can see the lines passing through that area above the blue indicator arrow. I think it coincidentally is shaped like the above indicated areas. IMO, Jim

    Looks like Damage to me. Just below the extra metal (if I can call it that) is a gouge the same width. Best scene in photo #3.
