Would appreciate comments on a few irregularities I noticed on the reverse of this dime at the top & bottom of the torch & between the berries against the branch which is to the left of the torch.
Die chips are very common on so many coins when you consider that the US Mint is producing tens of thousands of coins per hour when all of the presses are running. Minor die breaks are not worth a premium. Chris
Meow thinks the combo of die chips is not common at all. Might not be worth much in the collecting market, but sure is fun to find and stow away in the hoard.
You're absolutely welcome to save them if you wish. All I'm saying is that 50 years from now, they will not be worth any more than they are today. And, God forbid, if something should happen to you in the interim, your heirs will have the unfortunate responsibility, of unloading a bunch of coins that they will only be able to get face value for.
