Ok inform me on the difference of a spit die vs a rim to rim die crack because that's what I've always called these.

 

I’m with you on your statement.
It really seems opinion based on what experts will call a split die or rim to rim die break.
What I know is for a coin to be a split die the die crack has to be abnormally thick
And deep in the die neck. To be considered a split die.
Take a look at these two 2015s idky they got designated as rim to rim die cracks I think they look mighty fine for a spilt die. In the end I’m not sure what the experts decide in the end. To call one the other etc.
