Has a small die crack above Lincolns head to the left. The reverse has what I believe is called a retained die break or cud. It looks like a crack runs down the middle or close to it. Ideas? Any ideas would be appreciated. I am new to this. Thanks

The reverse looks as if there is some kind of glue, resin or adhesive on it.
The obverse has some damage on the rim at 6 o'clock and it's hard to tell from your photo to see what you are describing.

It's on top of the Shield. It appears to be metal. It doesn't have a glue or resin feel to it. It sticks out past the rim on the left side just a little bit.

It has the shiny appearance of the Cent that it's on. Lol. I really don't know what it is.

It's damaged, and not an error coin of any kind or type, as others have posted.

It did not leave the US Mint looking like that.

That’s some form of a glue on the reverse. It’s damaged.

@Superloop Welcome to coin talk! I agree your cent is damaged and it looks like some type of adhesive on the reverse to me too! I think the coin took a hit on the obverse near his head!
