2015 d ironworker dollar

    Being an ironworker for a living of course I'm going to buy a few Mohawk ironworker dollars.

    Was looking at this one and noticed that they appear to have just gone over a different coin or something because you can still the text that goes around the edge of it from the old coin

    That is the normal Edge Lettering applied to the coin. It sates the Date 2015 D and E PLURIBUS UNUM with some stars

    If you notice they did not place the Date, Mint Mark or E PLURIBUS UNUM on neither the Obverse or the Reverse. It's applied to the Edge.

    Its not the obvious lol it' hard to get a pic but maby these are better. There negatives cause that seemed to make it easier.

    It's probably Double Edge Lettering.. common on these coins. They don't reuse old coins.

    Yeah. I was having a brain fart and that was all I could come up with to describe it lol
