Can anyone please tell me if this is something i should send into pcgs? I've looked high and low for other coins missing the l in liberty and e in we and no such luck on anything.... I'm spanking new at this and not a clue what I'm doing. Thanks for any and all feedback!
Not slab material for a grease filled die with no added value. Your coin is too far gone with wear and tear for any submission. Put it in a flip and add to your collection.
When you get a $200 coin, you can send it in. Even the most minor legitimate errors are only worth $1-$5. I am not talking about the original poster, but these freaking You Tube videos have everyone convinced that every damaged (or even minor error) in their pocket change is going to make them rich. It's as if no one has ever looked a coin before in their life.
The worse about is that a lot of new collectors didn't bother to research the history of any coins issues and that should give anyone an idea that their coin is only worth face value.
I think you answered your own question. Buy a "Redbook" and start learning. Also stick around here, read posted threads in the "What's It Worth" and "Error" coin sections and see the replies on all the same *exact* question about their coin of people in the same *exact* situation.
Thank you. And I did a bit of research before I posted just fyi. Just not sure where to specifically look per say. Got it now thanks much.
Welcome to CT. Others are correct. You have a common curio piece with little if any added intrinsic value. However if you should stumble upon a similar filled die that reads "In God We Rust".... I am a buyer...
