2014D 1c defective planchet?

At first glance I thought PMD but digit 4 in date doesn't have the same appearance letter i in Liberty has. And the 4 shows no pattern going through if it was PMD. The reverse shows a completely different pattern. I don't even want to try and guess other than a defective planchet or contaminated surface?

That cent was attacked by an overly aggressive coin roll crimping machine.

 

I do not see any error on the coin.

 

I don't think it was the machine as much as the person shoving it into the Crimping machine .

 

Would coin roll machine be able to press hard enough to cause the stretch mark affect and would not those marks be on top of the 4 instead of appearing under?

 

Totally PMD IMHO, as others have pointed out.

Looks like a combination of crimping machine and worn die.

 

Looks like a Cent that was put under a table leg to stabilize it.
