Ok I was looking at this one and noticed the edge of this one looks really weird, it has alot going on from raised lines to some sort of doubling, is this normal even on a proof coin? I could not find anything on the internet to compare this one to. 20220804_143959.jpg 20220804_143650.jpg Also any insight would be great, and tia.

On BU coins, the edge lettering is put on after the coin is struck.

On Proof coins, it's part of the initial striking operation.

You're seeing 'mechanical' doubling of the lettered edge collar, imo.

What about the raised line ? There is three around the edge of equal distance.

Yes and they are all flat and shelf like. That’s a worn die and it causes MD.

I would have to agree that it is a issue of MD worn die along with plating displacement. Still pretty cool! let’s see what others have to say
