2014 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set March 17th. Who's Gonna Get Some?

Just read today the new late 2014 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set is set to go on sale noon EST March 17th for $139.95. Apparently there were packaging problems that delayed the release. It will have coins minted in 2014. They said they were making improvements based on returns from the 2013 set. I have routinely bought 2 since they came out and will probably do the same and just stash them with the others.

Pretty set, but I never have opted in on these.......always felt the offering to be redundant (since I have all of the coins in the set anyway). Still, I can understand why others would go for the set........

Well, the past two have been sellouts and sell for more than issue price on Ebay so I guess it's not a bad thing to get a couple. And they are limited so....

 

Since I live 30 minutes from the sand dunes. I'll be picking this up. Oh, I guess because it's silver too.

 

I just don't get it. The designs aren't great, the premium is really high and the mintages are high.

The only way to profit is buy it from the mint, pray for a bubble, sell it within 60 days of purchase. If you really want the coins, you can almost always buy them 2 years later at half the issue price.

 

Seems a little redundant. I get the Silver Proof set every year which includes all these coins.
