Even though I strictly collect ASE's, I'm getting this one: http://news.coinupdate.com/ccac-rev...fame-commemorative-coin-reverse-designs-1906/
Interesting designs. Especially that the reverse is to be convex in design... If these got into circulation that would create some very interesting coins after wear/usage...
Designs 1,2, and 3 show some imagination (considering the restriction that it has to be a baseball), but I suspect they will chose one of the 4-6 designs. More conventional.
I agree - would prefer one of the 1st three designs just because they are non-traditional and would look very interesting.
I'm not a modern collector at all....BUT if they use the #2 design I'm in for a proof and uncirculated. If the Mint fails to use design # 2 then #2 to the Mint....:kewl:
I think #2 is my favorite also....but I'm not sure how the "coloration" around the outside will look on a coin....
Anyone have a pic of the french coin that they are using as a reference for the concave/conflex design?
