is this a die crack? No concern on the value really I’m just new and looking for any information I can use coin hunting in the future. I have so many coins I come across I can’t tell if it is a mint issue or ED. The PCGS app gives me conflicting information from YouTube channels and I don’t know how to know what’s actually worth keeping. Any info helps, feel free to look through my old posts and comment aswell, thanks:)

Well, your not around to ask questions. So, here's my answer:
If it's raised, then possible die crack.
If recessed, then possibly a scratch.
    Need better Pics. ;)

You’re talking abt the crack itself being raised or recessed?

Yes, the crack. The die crack that is....
Also, it helps if you take a shot of the coin at an angle to capture it. ;)

My camera is terrible, the pic you’re getting is the best one I can provide. I take multiple pictures of the coin from all angles and choose the best one or two I get. The error is definitely an indent in the coin I realize as I’m looking at it now. I understand my ignorance is probably amusing to you but the sarcastic answers you give to newcomers in this community reflects on everyone else here and probably turns people off to an interesting hobby. If you have any links I can learn from I would appreciate them so I can avoid being a joke to people like you. If the questions I ask annoy you stop replying.

I don't recall being sarcastic.?? If I did then I apologize Sir. :sorry:
Sorry but things get a little crazy sometimes.
As far as the crack goes, we really need better Pics to be 100% accurate but we can and will wait for more people to chime in.
    Good luck! ;)

I was going to reply but I don't want to seem sarcastic.
And if you thought @SensibleSal66 reply was sarcastic that's really bugs me.

Bit much of an attitude there, friend...

A die crack is transferred to the coin as a raised feature (the die inverts to make the coin).

A scratch displaces metal and may leave a raised furrow on either side.

You have it in hand, what is it?

I think it's a deep scratch. There also appears to be another lighter scratch on the "G" in GREAT.

I thought it was a cute little remark nothing sarcastic about it all, it had me laughing.

If a little sarcasm gets you to leave, there are a dozen people I wish would get the message first.

no doubt this is not a die crack, the damage itself is not raised but clearly an indent. You’re right my response was a bit much.

Further inspection without a doubt a deep scratch. @SensibleSal66 that tangent was misdirected annoyance feeling like I couldn’t get a reasonable answer from anyone, and while you respond to most of my questions on here they never seem serious. Regardless it was an overreaction because I’m frustrated with lack of information to understand what I’ve got in front of me.

    @dwhiz And
I was going to let this go but hey! I'm an Italian, what can I say!
I really don't think that you're seriously talking to me like this. Sometimes I'm serious and sometimes I'm funny. At least I contribute socially / Numismatically to this forum! I've been for 3 years here and 5 at other forums. What. you've been here for 2 months and have an attitude like this? Maybe you should just move on or put me on ignore.
I'm willing to put my membership here, although free, on the line today. If the other members agree then I will apologize and you will leave here but until then, Good day Sir! :rage:

I wouldn't even bother to respond to that knowledgeable wonder.

to clarify, the tangent I was referring to was my own. My entire last reply I was talking about my response, not yours. it was meant to read as an admittance of my own overreaction and apology!¡
