2013 penny

  1. Has anyone everseen a 2013 penny with the date were the 20 is offset above the 13.

  4. I cant I am sorry, found it last night, but grand babies were here an can't find it again this morning just wondering about it I may have been crossed eyed or something tried googling it but didnt come up with anything

    Well, seems like it may be something, but i can not give a definite answer till we see pics. I do understand your situation, and i am sorry i can not help.

    Jo, at this point damage after leaving the mint is by far the most likely scenario as there is no real way the date on the die doing the striking, could have been moved. Since the date is raised on the coin, it is incluse ( depressed) on the steel die that strikes the coin face. To move the depression, the number would be horribly distorted. This mainly leaves the discussion as to what caused the damage after the coin left the mint, and if it was aided by human work. For that part, a picture might help, but maybe it will remain undetermined. Don't worry about a rarity being lost :)
