2013 D penny on plastic obverse only

hello all I have found this interesting piece of plastic hunting half dollar's I was going to throw it away and then I saw lincoln's head-on it. I accidentally broke off a piece of it as you can see. the reverse side is incused and the obverse side is flat it is 2 layers is this anything I should keep or toss

Could be like a mold.. Dried glue that peeled off a Cent?

Looks like someone was playing with resin or glue or something.

 

it's 2 layers so not glue and not resin

 

this is the broken edge of the what ever you call it

 

That was not created at the US Mint

Sheet plastic slowly melt over coin in oven and then trimmed to size.
Who knows? Interesting piece.

 

I will just say that it has exterm detail of Lincoln I'll keep it as a interesting oddities ..

 

Yeah I'd keep it. What else are you gonna do? Toss it in the trash? That being said, it isn't anything special besides someone's experiment.
