Just got my first 2013 D Cent today! Unfortunately, even though it's in really nice MS otherwise, it has been damaged (PMD) from rollers or something. So it would not grade. Note: took out part from finding in a box of cents. Just saw some of my change from today very near where I put down some coins when I went to do something. So good chance it came in change today from the store.
@archertiger3, I'm about an hour south of Philly down 95 and I haven't found ONE SINGLE 2013 cent yet. I think I have maybe 10 2013 nickels. I probably go through $250-$500 cents and nickels every week (two to four boxes of each). Does anyone know how freshly minted coins are distributed across the country? Is it odd that I'm so close to the Philadelphia mint and search so many coins but have so few 2013's while Mr. tiger3 gets whole boxes?
i didn't put any of that box back into circulation but i'm allready starting to find other 2013D pennies in circulation, no nickels yet
I live right off 95 just south of Baltimore and so far I've had 9 solid boxes of 2013P nickels. I have yet to see a 2013 cent though. I'm hoping I don't end up with solid boxes since I'm doing $200 worth a week. That would be a PITA to dump.
I remember when I was younger and growing up in the Philadelphia area. I could never find D minted coins in my normal circulation finds. Of course I wasn't pounding the coin rolls at the time so that may contribute to it as well.
i am in Illinois and get those as change every day and it is actually annoying because i have books for modern pennies and i mostly keep getting the brand new ones which i already have in the book..
