Not a bad price for the silver proof version with mint packaging. Unusual for Franklin Mint to sell something like this. http://www.franklinmint.com/2013-australia-year-of-the-snake-5-oz-silver-bullion.html
Yep, they are selling it for less than the Perth Mint. It's not a bad deal for somebody who really wants it. I always thought the Franklin Mint sold only their own products. Shows you how much I know.
Well they used too. The old FM really no longer exists. The new company has new owners..maybe 3 or 4 employees from the original FM..even one guy that worked with FM since the day they opened in 1964. They sell off the shelf product and mix some exclusives in. They no longer have the big financing and ownership with big bucks it takes to run a 5000 person global product development company and marketer like the pre-2003 FM was.
No. Provident is selling the BU. These are the proofs. There is a very big difference in appearance and quality when you see them side-by-side.
there is a big difference but the picture they show is of a bu coin and the listing says proof quality not proof. many perth products in bu have a reverse proof look, I have several. I don't think that's an actual proof coin.
Wow, that would be pretty slimey of them, if it was just a BU and not a proof. I was going by the fact the ad spoke of a certificate of authenticity, which usually does not come with the BU.
the cert is probably from the Franklin Mint. they put those with all their coins. they just don't give deals from what I've seen
