image.jpg There is a major die break on the reverse of this 2012 Lincoln. It has a main break and there's three hairline breaks that break off. I do see a hint of doubling but it's so fine that I can't get it with my camera. You might be able to see some doubling on the left side of the N.

What I see on the N looks like a hit, I see something over on the edge at about 4:30 that runs north west to the T that looks like possible die crack, but hard to tell from pics.

The area at about 4o'clock looks like a die break, but the N looks like a hit to me.

How about these pics? Do you see the O and N?

I see them, but it doesn't look like a die break. A die break would leave a raised line.

@armando0831 are the lines raise? Like the letters and devices?

I was meaning to say crack, sorry. Is it just me but doesn't it look to be doubling on the O and N though?

    Yes they are.

If I had to guess, I'd say it is machine doubling. One of your photos is overexposed and the other is underexposed.

Well die cracks are raised...it's just really hard to tell with the pics...that's the rough thing with phone pics...I have a fantastic state quarter with a die chip in the B of LIBERTY that is very evident with my loupe, try to take a pic and forget it, just looks like a normal B...I'm going to getting a microscope soon so I can take pics like this

I would agree with Kirk, it looks like it took a hit. I don't see any machine doubling though.

image.jpg You can see a vague hairline crack running from the middle of the T to the N. You can also see one running the other side of the T, going NE.

Thank you for all your help. I know it's hard with the quality of pics. I'm about to buy that Andonstar mincroscrope. That should get the pictures I'm looking for. Keep this thread watched, because once I get those pics, I'll post them.

That looks like a die break to me.

Is this called a Retained Interior Die Break? Are they worth a premium?
