To my inexperienced eye this looks like a Doubled Die. I love the fact that so many areas of the coin show doubling, but again I need the community consensus on this. I'm going to split this into two posts as there are 7 pix.

...Or you could just post both sets of pictures in one thread and not have us go between two treads to evaluate your coin in an accurate matter.

Strong doubling or twisting of devices can be seen on just about all of the obverse. This offset hub doubled, and tilted hub doubled example shows most strongly on the date, motto, and LIBERTY. In addition, all of the facial features are extra thick and more rounded than normal examples for the date.

thank you kaosleeroy! That sure sounds like this coin. What does NGC charge for certification/slabbing of this type of coin?

you have to be a member of the ana and then grading fees are about 25-30+ what they charge for attribution fees i donk know them off hand and then return shipping. best bet is to save up and send a fiew coins in at once so you can get a better deal

Or take it to any dealer that is a NGC member, and for a small fee, they will send it in under their membership number. You will still need to pay the grading fee, but the total cost will be the cheapest way to go for just a one time single coin. You usually won't get a quick turn around. He will wait to send in a bulk shipment of several coins, to get a volume discount.
