That's super cool. Wish I could take photo's like that. Yours always look so good. Guess that's what happens when you practice
I'm an avid collector of Canadian coins but I generally avoid the NLCT issues - most because I can't afford them The crystal coin series from the RCM are beautiful items.
Scratch that then. Well I got real lucky because I've only bought a few things from RCM over the last few years but loaded up on the .50 Titanic and the $20 bumblebee. So it looked like easy pickings.
Glad you like the coin. I like some Canadian coins but this one isn't my cup of tea. But to each his own and I say let's celebrate our differences!!!
I'm more of the traditionalist so I'm not into the gimmicks that some coins have. But for some reason the snow flake has appeal to me. The coin's design has nice balance to it. The Queen? Well she is what she is on all coins of English heritage. No offense ment , we had Susan B. Anthony to look at. :>)
It is nice looking, but I also personally don't get into these type of gimmicks. What's next? Glow in the dark dinosaur coins? Oh wait...
I know you guys love pulling a leg about the Queen, but please guys, no more insulting comment ok? For your info, she is remarkably an admirable Lady. I love her dedication and wish that one day I could tell her in person!
I am with you. I dislike stray things on coins, colorized coins, (unless it truly is the metal's color" etc. Give me a straight old die stamped lump of metal. I like the snowflake design, I think its well done, and I believe a lot of this look could have been achieved without having to add stones onto a coins surface. I would be afraid of owning it for fear the stones would start dropping off it.
