In the 2012 Red Book, pg.184, it states that the mintage for proof silver ATB quarters was 693,403 for each of the 5 quarters. In Numismatic News, 11-15-2011 issue, page 23 in the mint stats section it says the 14 coin silver proof set sales to date is 575,038 and the 5 quarter silver proof set is 268,148 which totals 843,186. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks for any help.

  3. I am guessing that these numbers are for the total silver proof sets (includes quarters and other coins) plus the silver quarter proofs sets (includes only the quarters) to date. These are still on sale by the way so numbers are not final. TC
