Found quite a few of these in every roll from 1 box
any idea what to call it?
    Is it a cud?
Its toward the center...could it be a double?

I'm not sure what it is, but a cud is a die break along the rim.

to be honest that looks like a nick in the coin. does it stick out from the surface, or is it deeper than the surface?

100% sure its not a nick
Ive found many of these so far, all from the same box
plus theres other people selling them on ebay
nobody seems to know for sure as of yet

Would probably be classed as a die chip.

I smell a possible variety perhaps

Could be die damage. I have also seen others like this on ebay.

sell yours on ebay before the market gets flooded and you cant get anything for them anymore. in my opinion.

It is a die abrasion and limited in value, or just an overzealous mint employee peaved at his boss and gouging the die. If it were toward the rim I would call it ejection damage. In the center it is either polishing of abrasion. Not woth much.
