2010 Quarters...Anywhere?

I have two Dansco albums completely filled with an example of every date and mintmark of every Washington quarter dollar produced through 2009. Nearly all of these have come through finding them in circulation (I had to buy only the 1932D) or trading (for P mint marks of the Territories). However I cannot find any 2010 quarters anywhere.

Yes, I could buy them, but finding them is so much a part of the fun. I may end my quarter collection with last year....I haven't decided yet. The bank that could get me all of the Territories last year in BU rolls says that they are not allowed to get them this year. Why have a program when you can't find them.

I know this has been mentioned before, but this really frustrates me. Has ANYONE found a 2010 quarter in circulation?

Yep gotten a few myself, mostly coming from vending machines...

    Haven't kept a single one.

If I find another, it'll go straight to you. (If you're interested)

Is this including proofs? I am using Dansco 8143 and 8144.

The 2010 quarters are slow to circulate due to the slow economy - you'll see them someday. As always, you'll have to buy the proofs.

Since they are from circulation, no, I don't have the proofs (a have a few proof sets). T$, much appreciated. I hate stopping since I have all Washington Quarters, but it irks me that they won't let banks order them.

One of the charities that I support sent a hot springs quarter sticky glued to the funds appeal. I sold it to a friend at work that is saving the quarters.

I have gotten Hot Springs and Yellowstone, all "D" mint from both vending and drawer change. It has to do with your local banks. If they have a large quarter supply, then they will not order new quarters from the Reserve. To them, the coin is a product, if they are overstocked then they will work to simply reduce their current stock before ordering more and new.

I put $10 in a vending machine everyone in a while to try and get a few to put in my album.

I have gotten Hot Springs here.

I would not stop collecting the series at last year. They have re-done the portrait of George Washington for 2010 and you'll love it! Looks a lot better than he has in years. I hated the idea of 10 more years of commem quarters, but the re-done bust of GW made me a little bit more interested.

I opened a roll of quarters yesterday at work and two hotsprings quarters fell out. I gave them out in change. This may have been discusssed before, but do the AtB quarters have the satin finish on them? They looked alot like the satin finish coins in my 2009 unc set. I hope not, I don't care for it.

Bob- I'm in Indy so all I see are P Mints, next time I find some, I'll PM mayb we can work out a trade!

It appears (at least to me) that the Hot Springs quarter has a finish to the background that made me think the same thing, but from all I hear, the Yellowstone quarters do not have this feature and therefore I reckon it was part of the Hot Springs design and not a satin finish coin.

I bought the hotsprings mint set.. mainly because I have found any in circulation along with 1 mint of every 2010 type quarter..
I really enjoy the hotsprings set though because it comes with 1 P, 1 D, 1 24K gold, 1 Painted, and 1 Hologram. All sealed at the mint before being released into the public..
I must say the hologram coin is incredible, One of my all time favorite coins as far as eye-candy goes.
