Hi I have a 2010 Lincoln Penny with a shield on the reverse but it's upside down. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!!
Welcome to the forum! To be sure I am understanding how you are flipping it, If you hold the normal shield cent so Lincoln is facing you and upright, it you turn the coin sideways, left to right, the shield is upside down, but if you turn Lincoln head over bottom, it will be upright. This is the normal arrangement. This is called "Coin alignment". Medals are usually the opposite, with the up portion being up on both sides as medals are often on ribbons and if it rotated front to back, it would still be upright. This is called "Medal alignment. No, it isn't rare, it is the normal cent for 2010, but it hasn't really reached general circulation, Most banks and stores recycle their coins and only order more when they get low. I find a few of these is change ( mainly from Walmart), but my local bank hasn't received any. They are still putting out the 2009 Lincolns. Give it a few years and they will be common in change. Jim

Pictures are needed for the most accurate advice. You should begin a new post for your coin. I almost stopped reading when I realized this post was begun years ago
