What do you think about this dime? I hope I know as much as you all do someday so I don't have to ask. Thank you.

if you look at the larger version of these pictures, I am seeing all the elements of the design two or three times. Maybe it is time for my eye checkup?

Are you saying the design is crowded or are you saying something about your dime is different from other dimes?

    Riddle me this:
Are the 2 pictures of the same dime under different lighting, or different dimes for comparison?

sorry, I didn't mean to be so confusing. Next to each picture is the negative of the same shot.

    Gotcha...
I was trying to compare them like 2 different coins...

Okay...what do you want me to type about the dime? I don't distinguish something "special" about it.

It may be reflection, but something interesting is going on. Are you seeing some notching on the letters? Looks interesting, but again it could be anything from reflection to camera shake, but I see some notching going on.

the pictures were taken with a Celestron microsope camera. The shutter was activated on my keyboard and not on the camera itself, so there was no shake. I do see notching and the "E" in STATE is really different.

For instance, do you see notching where my arrows are pointing if you look at the coin under a loupe?

In hand are you seeing notches here as well:

If you have a good loupe, you may need to get the coin directly under the shade of an incandescent lamp and rotate it around in the light to see the notching along the serifs in particular.

Sorry, couldn't find my loope and now have to find new batteries as they are too dim. Stay tuned....

Is there a DDR listed for this dime? If not, I think there will be....

Me too, and unless these photos have some really deceiving reflections, this is a very nice example for a single-squeeze hub.
