I'm new here and have a question. I heard the 2010 $2 single note collection that is available that starts with 2010 serial number is ony producing 9000. How is that if its a 2003A? Is this worth the $80 for the 10 notes?

    Thanks, Brian

the notes are part of the 2003 A series as that is the last series printed for $2's. they were more than likely printed a while back and just have the 2010 starting serial #. as far as if it is worth the $80 thats really up to you. i would not pay it. you can usually pick them up on the secondary market cheaper by getting less than 10. :thumb:

Thanks, was leaning that way. I've been looking at ebay, seem to have some attractive buys. Where else can I look for paper notes?

I am sorry to say that I disagree.. if you want the entire series then go for the set..unless you work in a Bank your chances are greatly reduced finding them in Circ in Gem condition.

I was leaning towads not purchasing them, but only slightly. Now you have me thinking RickieB. Would that be considered a sequence? After all they are UC, plus they are supposed to be in a clear acid free protective sleeve...I have no idea what that costs. This is more for my son than myself and he thinks they are pretty cool, just have to explain to him that he cant spend them ;)

    I agree with RickieB.

I think the time and effort you could spend trying to find a full set of these notes anywhere else than the BEP site will outweigh the value of your time spent for the savings you may get paying less for them on the secondary market like eBay. IF the whole set is what you are after, then bite the bullet and pay the premium. You will have peace of mind being done with the current series offered and the notes will be in excellent condition, safe in your collection. I'm personally not interested in the whole set, but I bought several notes this year from the BEP of just one district. From my experience, the BEP packed them very well and shipped quite swiftly. :thumb:

I got the star note, and the $2 bill from the bep.
They come in a nice plastic holder (sleeve).
The only thing that alarmed me is the sleeve (with bill inside) is placed in a fold over card that holds the sleeve by the corners, thus slightly creasing the corners. I have these just lying loose in the card.

I too removed mine from the card but left them in the mylar sleeves.
