Ordered my 2009 Proof clad sets from the mint several days ago & expected arrival on 2nd of July. I asked the gal when ordering concerning mintage. Her reply was that 650,000 units were being put together. Does this sound accurate, is it low mintage, a good but for 29.95 each? What is your opinion about the clad sets this year? I know I am after the pennies, being copper and only year of production for this design. Finally, what will be the design & metal be for the pennies in 2010? Good hunting!

I will probably be ordering them soon myself. Every year I get about 10 sets for Christmas presents and a few for myself. Mine just go into a box and that is where they end up forever. Been doing that for a long, long time. Sometimes I open one but usually not. I predict the 2010 Clad sets will be worth a lot of money about the year 2174.

    Opened or unopened

I ordered the 2008 First Day Coin Covers from the US Mint and they arrived yesterday. Never having seen or even heard of these and being curious, I opened the Oklahoma one to see what it was all about. I took the cellephane off it to give it a full look and satisfy the curious side. Now I'm thinking I should not have opened it. Maybe I lowered the value of the whole set or at least the Oklahoma one. Any opinions on this?
