A 2009 P dime is selling on Ebay for $31.00, and the auction still has 18 hours to go! The lack of circulation sure leads to some aggressive bidding, i surely doubt the mintage will be low enough to justify those prices. The proofs won't even command that price i assume.
Yep, I believe the highest one sold for $51. Check out this thread starting at about page 4, one of our CoinTalkers (Bobbeth87) put the first one up for auction I just heard '09 dime and nickel production is done for the year. - Page 4 - Coin Talk
Does this mean that the mint unc. mint set it a strong buy now? Based on the prices of the 2009 dimes and nickels, I think I'm going to buy a few this summer. Where else can you get them for a good price?
The mint set contains satin finish coins, not the regular uncirculated coins. The Lincoln cents will make the mint sets popular. I'm not sure which type of cents will be included in the mint sets. Satin, regular uncirculated or proof? I guess i'll start a thread and ask.
Those coins will be satin finish coins, and all collectors will have those The circulation strikes, are just hot now, and is a fad, which will wear away soon...too much of a mintage
