2009 LMC to Grade

    This one out of the roll I opened.would you grade it?

    why do all these that i see have "water spots" on them?

    Steam from striking is was the spot are I think?

    I would try to locate one without the spots on them, or do they all have 'em? Other than that, I do not see any major contact marks.

    At least MS-65

    The spots are what I believe to be the same anti-corrosion chemical that the mint started using on Sacs some years ago. If you recall, the early Sacs had a horrible tendency to turn brown and ugly. One of the chemical companies I deal with developed a product for the mint to stop that from happening. If you notice today, all the Sacs and Presidential dollars stay nice and shiny for a long time.

    Are you asking if you should submit it to a TPG or what we would grade it? I wouldn't send it in, but I would say 67 or 68.

    Pretty sure they have been coated since day one.
