Came across this and would like an opinion! It appears to be a strike through error? It looks like the bush is showing on both sides? Thoughts! IMG_3268.jpeg IMG_3268.jpeg IMG_3283.jpeg IMG_3269.jpeg IMG_3270.jpeg IMG_3279.jpeg

All I see under his nose is a stain of some sort. I don’t see anything indicating a strike-through.

the stain is raised? It also is exactly where the bush is on the rev? I’m leaning towards strike error myself. If it wasn’t raised and flat I’d agree but?

A stuck through error usually has an indent in the surface of the coin.

I know? If not a strike error, why the raised surface? Also, just throwing mud here but the bush on the reverse is I believe in the same location on the obverse? Pretty tricky how the same shape appears on both sides? Just saying..

The next question is does Lincoln have a wishbone around his eye? There are a few additional questions but I’m not going to wear out my visit! lol

It might actually be a "Die Chip" Under his Nose.
Wishbone? It was just Thanksgiving, so it could be, I guess. pray.gif

Some kind of dark gunk is on the coin. It's also on his forehead, the 0, splattered in the field, his beard. The gunk on the 0 also seems to be raised. Look at the context of the whole coin instead of focusing on one thing and ignoring the rest. I bet if you soaked it in acetone it would mostly come off, but personally I wouldn't bother, I'd just spend it.

Maybe if someone is bored watching paint dry then. I would also try a toothpick on it or soft brush. It's only worth a Cent anyways.
