First shot at the 95 percent copper Lincoln proofs will be in the clad proof sets which are released on June 1. Who is going to send the copper proof Lincolns off to NGC or PCGS for grading?
I am sure I will not. I like to collect the mint and proof sets in the Original packaging. A lot of these coins will no doubt be slabbed.
I also will order a few clad proof sets but will not submit them for slabbing. I just can't bare the thought of those coins leaving their secure little homes with their 2009 friends for a lonely slab.
I still debating if I will send them in. For the moderns PCGS does bring the big price due to the registry sets. PCGS only allows PCGS coins and NGC allows both PCGS and NGC coins. I do prefer sending to NGC though.
Thanks for the link. I wasn't planning on ever buying anything from the mint.....but, those are pretty darn cool and I am considering buying one.
Anytime..They will be in the Silver and clad proof sets and the 50,000 Lincoln set coming out this summer. The tough one will probably be the mint uncirculated sets. The mint usually makes much less of them. I think I will be buying a boat load of those.
Sometimes the clad sets pop up in price, these may if they are cut off early. the 2008's are about $55 http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-US-Mint-Cl...yZ159716QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I agree...I got 4 clad proof, 3 silver proof and 5 mint uncirculated on subscription...Trying to figure out if I am going to buy anymore and which ones to buy.
