Curiously I have always admired Daniel Carr's creations, his coin designs are fantastic, but until now I have never owned one [IMG] How could that be? I love the Graebner press coins, but so far haven't gotten around to buying one.

But I saw this and had to have it ASAP, this is the 2009 Hard Times Token for One Nickel:

A fascinating reflection of the times, much like the 1830's HTT's that were a reflection of the times then. "Banking Establishments Are More Dangerous Than Standing Armies" Thomas Jefferson said this in 1816, I have always admired Jefferson, he sure was a visionary for then and now.

This piece is struck on flan the size of a nickel but is nearly piedfort with high rims. Notice the characteristic die crack across Jefferson's image, a feature which appears to be present on all of the coins.

As soon as I saw your pictures, I went immediately to the website and ordered a set for myself. How cool!

This is my favorite of all the coins he has produced (also a hard times token):
