Found this in my first box of cents for the week. It is my first 2009 DDR. Can anyone tell me what # they think it is? I "think" it's a 2009 1¢ FY WDDR-030 from doubleddie.com. Thanks for looking!
always learning, and willing to learn, closed ears, make for closed mind, and thats no good for anybody !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. Sucky thing is - it has a pretty nice circular scratch from the stupid roll crimper machine. RAGE.
Yeah. I only get 2-3 of them per box. I've searched 100+ boxes and this was the first one I found. Still going in a flip but I'm still pissed about it.
That's why I feel lucky when walgreens lets me go though their change, I still haven't looked up the ddr yet, but very high grade, thats for sure
If you want more of these and even better ones buy some of the small boxes that the mint sells. I bought some of them and they were loaded with DDR #1 and DDR #2 coins. some of the dated boxes have none and the right dated boxes have around 12 per roll in the P mint roll.I also did this with the best type of the 2005 detached leg buffalo nickels. these I nicknamed the ULTRA DETACHED LEG bison. I ended up with over 400 of them and they can be found in the boxes with a certain date for one day only making them hard to get..
With all of the different varieties of 2009 DDR, I begin to wonder if the mint was able to press a non-erred 2009 Formative Cent at any point in the one year run.
Might be this one.http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=2009&die_id=2009p1dr066&die_state=mds
030 is more towards the tip of the thumb, this one looks more like 017.. wexlers site gives a good pic of it.. after looking closer , its 039
Thanks for that info. I'm going to the polish coin show tomorrow, I sent ken potter an email so we could meet, I have some coins to give him, 5 dollars a piece for a coin is a good deal, were good friends http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/black-eyed-grant and http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/black-eyed-grant-cause-explained
good call d.t.menace, that's the one DDR #066, here's a photo of the die chip in Lincolns shoulder, with the extra thumb
die chips are fairely common on the newer coins because the mint workers used the dies until they were ready to fall apart . I have some presidental dollars here somewhere in my boxes of coins that have a large die chip on the presidents coat collar.maybe we can nickname them the chip on shoulder coins
chip in the shoulder is a marker, thats all ! but heres a question how are theses ddr the same coppercoins is #66 and wexlers is #39
