    Yeah, those keys look bad. But I am not sure it is anything more than a beat up die or the quarter took a lot of hits along there. It does not seem to correspond to the known doubled die ones for that issue.

    I'm not sure either I'm doing some searching on it. It would be cool if it's an error

    The Piano needs a tuning.

    There is a Doubled Die for this Quarter concerning the keys.. But I don't think yours is an example.

    @Kasia .. Doubled Die.. Not double ;)

    Lol@ needs a tuning. It's not a doubled die. Trying to find out if the keys all crooked is a mint error the quarter is in pretty good condition other than those keys.

    That quarter is beat up. It might make a MS60 if someone can't find any trace of wear.

    Here is one of your photos blown up and adjusted to see the keys better. All areas encircled in red are the areas where there are issues. I think this can be said to be pmd.

    Thanks paddyman that's a very interesting article. I known about this state quarter, I'm not sure but am hoping it's a new error. Just so weird all the keys only the keys are crooked that's what has me so interested, in this one.

    Actually, it is not in very good condition. From what you show in your images, this coin would probably grade no better than MS63, give or take.

    If it was truly a mint error, you'd have to ask yourself, "How did a die produce one coin with "crooked keys" and not thousands more in addition to it?" It's not like it could be a one-of-a-kind mint error. Think about it!

    I'm a amature at this yet, will take me sometime, but I am learning I'm not saying that this is one of a kind that's why I'm searching information on it.

    I understand that you're learning, and it's good that you ask questions when you don't understand something. Yes, I'm trying to make you think for yourself. You will likely see thousands upon thousands of coins that have unusual marks from worn dies or circulation, and understanding how a coin is produced will help you immensely.

    You're very welcome, sir; I do hope it helps. You're best bet is to closely compare your coin to those shown of the same mint. Unfortunately, I can't see the coin well enough on a phone screen to be of any additional help. Good luck!
