@PamR Decent find in the wild. You don't see them much since they were issued as they were hoarded because of the special designs. That might change the way the economy is going.

These were in my mom’s coins. So it’s been there a little while. But yes some coins I have found in my change lately have looked like some are cashing in. I have a couple of the others. Mom saved a lot of coins, ATB and State’s quarters for my son. Thank you!

I have never run across one in circulation here. I liked the design but wish they would have minted it in copper. The coating of copper makes it look cheap and poorly made.

@PamR The log cabin reverse has a lot of doubled dies and it was a very annoying coin to go through. I did several rolls and gave up. The formative years was the easiest. Going through solid date boxes was fun. I ended up with three rolls of WDDR-043 (Best of Variety), 10 rolls of WDDR-024 C , 10 rolls of WDDR-057 (Best of Variety), 12 rolls of over polished die errors of the Professional Life "P" with missing windows on the reverse. Much more, but memory fails me after this.

Yes I read a lot of people did that. These I found in mom’s coins. My dad’s coins are before 2000. I have a couple of more log cabin ones but I put those with others already. If I get them out I will take a look. Wow you were like a kid in a toy store I bet lol.

The satin finish ones were minted in 95% copper and realeased in mint sets. I believe the 2009 95% satin finish are the lowest mintage of the Lincoln series.

No satin ones here. Satin ones looks much sharper in person. Thanks!

I see a fingerprint starting to form. How many tools of untouched ones do you think I have?

Credit where credit is due -- they're genuinely cheap and poorly made. Not the fault of the Mint, of course, but those who represented copper-coated zinc as a fit material for coinage.

I agree. The quality compare to the older dates are no comparison.

@PamR Don't forget to check for doubled dies in the windows on this "P" mint on Wexler's site.

This is a tough coin to identify the doubling but most of them appear on the windowsills. The sills are thicker when the doubling occurs. I would suggest a 10X magnifier. Most here don't think it worth it but they are not into identifying these minor doubled dies. I think they are fun though.

Yes I have been really looking harder and I find the cracks etc. There are a couple “ I think” I see lol. The front gabled roof to the right of it where it has a piece facing right, appears different than the photos I have seen. Tonight I will look into these better. Thanks again for your help.

I don't know if any members here, do what I just did. After reading the entries about the 2009 Lincoln cents, I thought that it was neat. Then I looked at my list of things I have, and, lo and behold, I had bought the 2009 Silver Proof Set. I opened the package and couldn't believe how nice they are.
Thanks for your memories, per Bob Hope.
