I have LP3, LP4, and LP5 from the US Mint. They are sold out of the LP1 and LP2 editions. I have noticed on eBay that the LP1 and 2 series in the mint wrappers are quite a bit pricier than the same coins in a red and white bank wrapper. What's up with that? Why would banks re-wrap the coins? Or have they not been re-wrapped? They are listed as BU and unsearched but are cheaper than the US Mint ones. Anyway I bought the LP1 and LP2 in the bank wrappers and saved some cash. Was this a mistake?

    thanks in advance,

Believe it or not, some collect wrappers and value the mint wrappers more (not rewrapped). Since I don't pay more for the wrapper than the coins, I buy the bank wrapped roles too.

  4. My best guess is that the LP1 mint rolls have the lowest mintage, and the LP2 mint rolls may contain errors. TC

so have the bank wrapped rolls been searched through or are they sent from the mint to the bank in bank wrappers?

LP5? Did I miss one last year? I believe there were only 4. Maybe thats why you think you're missing one.

Correct. 100,000 sets minted on LP1. 70 errors on LP2.
