i just got a $20 offer (from someone who has bought $1000's worth of coins and PMs from me in the past). i'd say that's pretty good.
Wouldnt be the first time he's overpaid me for something. he gave me $500 for a wisconsin quarter w/ extra leaf high that i got from a vending machine when we were in 8th grade. (he then sold it to his uncle's friend for $600), and there were a few times i sold him $50 or $70 coins and he didn't have anything smaller than a hundred.
$20 is not a bad offer, it is worth something extra. There are many fancy serial number currency collectors out there. This is one that I own !
Tell you what -- I'll start watching my $1 bills, will ship to you, and we'll split the profits 50-50. I got a hundred $1's at the bank this afternoon, and I figure 83 of them are keepers. Sorry, I can't tell you which bank.
Check Heritage Auctions on Tuesday nights for fancy serial numbered notes and you will see some serious collectors bidding notes way up. They do have quite a collector base.
Here's another one of mine ~ repeater. I would bid on that 05005555 note if it came up for auction, any how if someone offered you a $20 I would sell it.
I like these cool serial numbered notes, maybe they are not Fancy Serial numbered but they are way cooler that the same old Silver Eagles we have seen for the last 25 years ! And in most cases cheaper too
Yep, and when the crunch comes, you can light your cigar with the bill, and the eagle might buy you 3 days' worth of food, plus 3 more cigars...
